Terms of Use

Last updated: July 17, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the ClearInvoice application for iPhone and iPad (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you obtained the App through the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

What ClearInvoice is — and is not

ClearInvoice is a document-creation tool for producing invoices, estimates, and related PDF documents, and for keeping local records of your business activity.

ClearInvoice is not a payment processor, money transmitter, bank, escrow service, accounting service, or tax adviser. The App does not process, hold, transmit, or reconcile payments between you and your clients. Payment instructions you include in a document are content you author; any payment your client makes happens entirely outside the App, between you and your client.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the App Store rules. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the App except as permitted by law.

Your content and responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content of documents you create and share — including their accuracy, the payment instructions they contain, and their compliance with laws that apply to your business (such as tax, invoicing, and consumer-protection rules in your jurisdiction). ClearInvoice does not review your documents and provides no legal, tax, or accounting advice.

Free version and ClearInvoice Pro

The free version includes unlimited drafts and PDF previews, a total of three successful PDF exports, and up to three saved clients and three reusable items. ClearInvoice Pro — Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks unlimited exports and unlimited business data. One payment. No subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple; prices are shown in the App in your local currency. You can restore a previous purchase with Restore Purchases. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies.

Your data and backups

Your business data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining backups, using the App's export feature or your own device backups. Deleting the App deletes locally stored data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that documents it produces meet the legal requirements of any particular jurisdiction.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the App — including unpaid invoices, disputes with clients, or data loss. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We may update the App and these Terms. Continued use of the App after updated Terms are posted on this page constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the App.

Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated. Your license ends automatically if you materially breach these Terms. Because your data is local, termination does not delete data on your device.
